About the event
Elena Gilliam hosts a quarterly jazz program at the wonderful Muzeo in downtown Anaheim. August features exceptional new exhibits celebrating Walt Disney and the historic beginnings of Disneyland. Elena, along with special guests, deliver captivating jazz in the Main Gallery alongside the exhibit, Capturing Life, Creating Character: The Art of Live-Action Reference. This exhibit offers a fascinating exploration of character animation, showcasing a collection of rarely seen photographs of live performers paired with their animated counterparts.
The performers include young jazz musicians from local high schools and colleges, with a few performances by Elena herself. As a recipient of the Jazz Living Legend Award and an inductee into the Jazz and Blues Hall of Fame, Elena is committed to introducing new talent to the jazz scene.
