ELENA GILLIAM presents a musical program at the beautiful Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center. In conjunction with the current Exhibit "Lowrider Culture in the United States", Art and Jazz celebrates the music of the lowrider culture. Music has been an integral part of the Lowrider tradition. A mixture of Latin jazz, R&B, Blues and oldies have been “along for the ride” since it’s inception in the mid 1950’s. We’ll discuss the music of the lowrider culture and how the strength of its traditions carry on.
